Qur'an recital with Tajweed

The Qur’an, is the word of Allah. When recited properly, it has the power to move even the hardest of hearts and it can be a deeply moving experience even for those who do not understand what is being said. Whilst reciting, we should try to imagine and feel the full message it is conveying to us. Unfortunately though, many do not feel confident when reciting the Quraan and this is partly from not knowing the rules of tajweed correctly.
To observe the correct rules of recital is not an advanced science, reserved only for experts. For the Quran was revealed with tajweed rules as this was how the angel Jibrael (AS) would recite it to the Prophet (SAW). So it is an obligation on each and every one of us, that we learn the rules of Quraan recitation so that we are able to implement them when we read the Quraan in salah and in general. To give every letter of the Quraan its rights and dues of characteristics when being read and to observe all rules that apply to the letters in different places is called tajweed.
